Boosters Board Roles

BASIS Phoenix Central Boosters is a non-profit organization dedicated to the support of BASIS Phoenix Central, a K-5th grade school located in the heart of Phoenix. Our programs support a sense of community among BASIS families and staff while at the same time providing important student services, raising funds for classroom supplies and equipment, and planning events to recognize our amazing teachers and staff. We are recruiting and electing the following roles for 2023-2024:

President

  • Responsible for the successful running of the Boosters

  • Sets yearly goals and priorities 

  • Primary contact to the head of school

Vice President

  • Supports the President on anything needed

  • Oversees recruitment & growth of Boosters

Treasurer

  • Tracks income and expenses

  • Reimburses vendors, partners, etc. 

  • Approves Booster spending

  • Files Yearly taxes

Recording Secretary

  • Takes Booster Meeting Minutes

  • Collaborates on communication to Social Media chair, ensuring they have accurate information and messaging for advertising events and updates

Spirit Wear Chair

  • Works with committee & faculty to design and order new apparel

  • Manages inventory of current apparel

  • Organizes selling of spirit wear at appropriate events

Fundraising Chair

  • Creates and executes a yearly plan of fundraising for Booster Operations

  • Understands the fundraising needs of the school (i.e. teacher fund, equipment needs)

  • Co-Oversees the coordination of events organized by the Boosters

Social Media Chair

  • Responsible for communicating events and updates to the BPC community through social media outlets, including ParentSquare, Facebook, Instagram

  • Oversees branding to ensure messaging is communicated clearly and professionally

  • Updates and maintain the Boosters website

Event Chair

  • Co-Oversees the coordination of events organized by the Boosters

  • Works closely with the Fundraising Chair to make sure events are aligned 

  • Establishes and maintains relationships with vendors and event venues

  • Recruits volunteers to help run events
